Foreign Residency Program (FRP):
The FRP is an individual exchange program designed to support the readiness and retention of military reservists when residing overseas for a period not longer than 5 years. Participants are assigned to duty positions within authorized manpower requirements. FRP tours are typically 12-60 months ( 36 months is normal), within a given country, depending on the parameters established in the applicable international agreement.
An international MOU is completed for each country FRP that outlines the general conditions applicable to the particular program.
